What does RotGuard mean?

RotGuard is Bespoke Doors' perimeter edge-sealing system. The edge is where every external door fails water gets into the edge grain, swells the panel, peels the finish, and eventually rots the timber. Standard external doors are protected on the faces but exposed at the perimeter.

RotGuard treats the perimeter pine with a sealing system before the Colorbond skin goes on, so moisture is stopped at the source rather than after it's already inside the panel. It's why StormBloc doesn't need a re-seal or refinish at year three. The same engineering principle that protects roof flashings and panel joints in commercial buildings, applied to the door perimeter.
